Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about workro recruit — AI matching, pricing, interviews, and India compliance.
Questions & answers
What is workro recruit?+
workro recruit is an AI-powered recruitment platform built for the Indian job market. It combines explainable AI resume matching, automated structured interviews, AI job-description generation, and built-in compliance (DPDP, labour codes, PF/ESI) in one applicant tracking system.
How does AI resume matching work?+
workro parses each applicant's resume and scores it from 0 to 100 against your job description, then shows the specific skills, experience, and gaps behind every score. You review a ranked, explained shortlist instead of reading hundreds of PDFs — and you always make the final call.
Is there a free plan?+
Yes. workro has a free-forever Starter plan with one active job, monthly application and AI-interview limits, and a structured pipeline — no credit card required. Paid plans (Growth and Scale) unlock more jobs, applicants, team members, and full AI match scores.
How much does workro cost?+
The Starter plan is free. Paid plans start at ₹1,999/month for Growth and ₹9,999/month for Scale (with discounted annual billing), and a custom Enterprise plan is available. International customers are billed annually in USD. See the pricing page for current details.
Can I use workro outside India?+
Yes. workro is India-first but supports international hiring, with USD annual billing for customers outside India and dedicated guides for US, UK/Europe, Singapore, and UAE remote hiring.
How do automated interviews work?+
workro runs structured behavioural and technical interviews where every candidate answers the same job-relevant questions, with software proctoring and consistent scoring. This gives you fair, comparable evaluations at scale without scheduling every first-round yourself.
Is candidate data handled in line with the DPDP Act?+
Yes. workro is designed for India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act with consent capture, retention controls, and India data residency, so you have a lawful basis for processing candidate data and can honour access and deletion requests.
Does workro replace recruiters?+
No. workro automates the high-volume, repetitive work — screening, scheduling, and first-round interviews — so recruiters and hiring managers spend their time on relationships, judgement, and final decisions. Humans stay in control of every hiring and rejection decision.
Can my whole team collaborate in workro?+
Yes. Multiple team members can review candidates, leave structured feedback and scorecards, and move applicants through a shared pipeline. Admin approval workflows are available for publishing jobs and making hire or reject decisions.
What roles and industries does workro support?+
workro works across roles and industries — IT, BFSI, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, education, and more — and includes free resources like job-description templates, salary benchmarks, interview questions, and compliance calculators to support hiring in each.
How quickly can I get started?+
Most teams are productive within an afternoon: create a free account, post a role, and start screening applicants the same day. There is no implementation project required for the free and self-serve plans.
Does workro help with India compliance like PF, ESI, and gratuity?+
Yes. Alongside hiring, workro provides free compliance tools — calculators for gratuity, PF, ESI, professional tax, and CTC-to-in-hand, plus state-wise data on minimum wages, holidays, and notice periods — to help HR teams stay compliant.
