# Attendance Policy
This policy establishes attendance requirements, working hours, and procedures to ensure productivity while complying with applicable labour laws.
2.1 Standard Hours
• General shift: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (1 hour lunch break)
• Net working hours: 8 hours per day, 48 hours per week
• Flexi-hours: Core hours 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM; complete 8 hours between 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Weekend: Saturday and Sunday (or as per roster)
2.2 Shift Workers
• Morning shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Afternoon shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Night shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM (night shift allowance applicable)
• Weekly off: Rotational as per shift roster
• Biometric: Mandatory for all employees
• Frequency: In and out punches required
• Missing punch: Report to HR within 24 hours; form submission required
• Proxy punching: Strictly prohibited; grounds for disciplinary action
• Remote workers: Clock-in via HRMS portal
4.1 Grace Period
• 10 minutes grace period per day
• 3 instances of late coming per month allowed without deduction
• Beyond 3: Half-day CL deduction per instance
4.2 Definitions
• Late: Arrival after 9:10 AM (or shift start + 10 min)
• Half-day: Arrival after 11:00 AM
• Absent: No show without prior intimation
• Prior approval from manager required
• Unauthorised early leaving: Half-day deduction
• Emergency: Inform manager within 1 hour
6.1 Eligibility
• Work beyond 8 hours per day or 48 hours per week
• Prior approval from manager required (except emergencies)
6.2 Compensation
• Option 1: 2x normal hourly rate
• Option 2: Compensatory off (1:1 ratio) within 60 days
• Cap: Maximum 50 hours overtime per quarter
• Exemptions: Managers and supervisors (as per law)
6.3 Calculation
• Hourly rate = Monthly gross / (26 days × 8 hours)
• Overtime pay = Hourly rate × 2 × Overtime hours
• Weekly off: One full day per week (as per roster)
• Compulsory national holidays: Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti
• Festival holidays: As per state notification (8-10 days)
• Working on weekly off/holiday: Compensatory off or overtime pay
• Sick leave: As per entitlement
• Casual leave: Maximum 3 days during probation
• Earned leave: Not applicable during probation
• Unauthorised absence: Grounds for termination
• Maintained by HR electronically
• Employees can view via self-service portal
• Discrepancies to be reported within 7 days
• Final attendance: Basis for payroll processing
• Shops and Establishments Act (respective state)
